1994 Marquis Grissom Game-Issued, Signed All-Star Bat

Marquis Grissom has been one of the game's more consistent players for the better part of two decades. In his 17-year career, he's been elevated to All-Star status on two occasions - '93 and '94. This Louisville Slugger Pro model bat (34 1/4" and 31.8 ounces) was issued to Grissom for the '94 All-Star contest held in Pittsburgh. Players are normally ordered a couple of bats for the All-Star Game. This one was most likely placed in the bat rack but never saw game action. Heavy black bat rack marks appear on the barrel. "All Star Game 1994, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania" is burned into the barrel. The barrel appears to be shaven down minimally. Grissom penned a nearly flawless signature ("10") on the barrel. A special bat from an equally special talent.
