1936 Berlin Summer Olympics Pin

Sprinter Jesse Owens stole the show in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. This scarce non-concession pin comes from the world-wide competition that saw Owens strike gold. Manufactured by H. Osang Dresden, the souvenir is fashioned in exclusive materials and intricate detail. Although the exact number isn't known, the lapel piece was dispensed on a limited scale. In support of that notion is the discovery of a serialized number ("881") on the reverse side. About 1 5/8" in diameter, the pin is characterized by responsibly applied and unblemished enamel on the front, which is accentuated by a highly detailed gold plate. This EX keepsake would be a welcomed addition to an advanced Olympic memorabilia collection.
