Harry S. Truman Signed Memoirs (Vol. 1 & 2)
Harry S. Truman became our thirty-third President of the United States, after Franklin D. Roosevelt passed away. He even stated in his own memoirs that the job of president was one he neither sought nor wanted. Yet he took over the oval office and in a very tumultuous time, and did it with the heart of a true citizen. In 1955 Truman wrote the first volume of his memoirs "Year of Decisions" and we are offering here a very special "Kansas City Edition" of which only 20,615 were made and even more incredible is it is signed. This copy is in EX/MT-NM condition with no real edge wear or spine creasing. It comes with the dust jacket in VG/EX condition. The autograph rests nicely on the title page and is made out to "Harry Grant" and is written with a fine fountain pen, rating "8-9" in quality. Also accompanying this collection is volume two "Years of Trial and Hope" in NM/MT condition. It is a British edition and 2nd Printing made in April 1956 by Houder and Stoughton. The dust cover is also intact and is itself in EX/MT condition. All together this is a wonderful collection of the memoirs of one of our most memorable presidents.
