1953 USGA Open Championship Season Ticket Badge (Winner Ben Hogan)

Since the inception of the institution in 1901, the Men's U. S. Open has been hosted by Pittsburgh's Oakmont Country Club on seven occasions. In the third such, held in 1953, fans were treated to a thrilling Ben Hogan victory. One of those on hand in the gallery for that event was issued this stately pass. It measures 2-1/2" x 4-7/8" and it's impressively stylized. Presently, this keepsake is encapsulated by PSA, validating its authenticity. It is abundantly clean and all the print is distinct as original. The only qualification of note is a series of three very small punctures which are situated near the upper edge, and one other at the lower extremity.
