Gorgeous Babe Ruth Single-Signed Ball w/Full PSA Letter
In his familiar, melodic style, Babe Ruth penned the sweet spot of this ball. It's an OAL (Harridge) dating exclusively to the war period (1940-45) as evidenced by Reach's logo to include "The Sign of Quality", and the absence of a star below the president's simulated signature. The stampings are a bit light and, uniformly, the ball is mildly toned. There's a sheen to the surface that suggests, but doesn't confirm, that the ball bears an application of shellac. Now, Ruth was never modest in placing his autograph - always conspicuous, beautifully flowing. And in those respects, this one is emphatic. The signature fully occupies the sweet spot, traversing nearly three inches of the surface. Even from a considerable distance, this Ruthian signing is immediately distinctive. In all its considerations, we esteem the autograph about "trong>7" - it's uniform in intensity (just slightly light), and perfectly clean.
