Vintage 1965 signed "Beatles For Sale" Album, Signed by All Four!

Amazing vintage signatures signed by all Four Fabs, back in 1965. In the wake of the amazing success of “A Hard Day’s Night,” The Beatles first feature film, and two very successful tours of America, the Beatles were once again in Abbey Road Studios recording what would be their fourth album (lp). On December 4, 1964, just in time for Christmas, the Beatles released “Beatles For Sale.” The album was received with overwhelming success by the public. “Beatles For Sale” was released in England on Parlophone Records. The album was not released in America. Capitol Records, The Beatles American label, released Beatles ’65. Amazingly, one American fan did manage to acquire an original first pressing (Mono) of “Beatles For Sale,” and get all four Beatles to sign the album sleeve. This particular signed album is being offered here. Inside the so-called 'gatefold' of this album there appears an on-stage photographic image of the Fab Four, and adjacent to their respective likenesses, there appear the very clean autographs of each. The photograph, as may be seen in our illustration for this catalog entry, is a black & white shot, and the backdrop, from left to right, graduates from off-white to light gray. In turn, the signatures of Paul McCartney and George Harrison project from a lighter surface and then, mildly subdued, are those of Ringo Starr and John Lennon. Nonetheless, all are perfectly applied in ballpoint, and merit 9-10 in the composite considerations of intensity, contrast and legibility. The album itself is about EX with mild/moderate corner wear and a light crease in the lower left cover. This was The Beatles first album to be released with a “gatefold” cover sleeve. The signatures are on the inside of the fold, when stored, preserved each signature. This is by far the finest offering of completely authentic signatures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr to be found on a single medium. We emphasize that the authenticity of these four autographs meets the full endorsement of noted Beatles authority, Frank Caiazzo, whose LOA accompanies.
