Unique Collection of Beatles and Beatle Related Singles with Original Apple Records Shipping Box

Offered is a completely unique collection of singles that contain gems as: The original 1964 pressing (bold title variation) of The Beatles' "Please, Please Me" b/w "From Me To You", VJ 581. The label is the black, rainbow swirl label with the oval Vee Jay logo. The condition of the vinyl is Mint. The "Please Please Me" label is NM while the verso is EX due to shelf wear; Three flexi-disc records that were available as a give-away for a limited time by the record retailer Sam Goody in 1982. The records were produced by the chain and licensed by Capitol Records. These colored discs were only available in the United States and were pressed by Evatone Soundsheets. The records feature two songs each and they are: The Beatles 1962-1966 (red disc) “All My Loving” with “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” The Beatles 1967-1970 (blue disc) “Magical Mystery Tour” with “Here Comes The Sun” and The Beatles (clear disc) “Rocky Raccoon” with “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road”. Each record measures 7 1/4” X 7 1/4” and is in its original plastic envelope. The condition of each record is MINT; Ringo’s 1974 release “Oo Wee.” The black star on the label indicates that this is a promotional pressing and this time it is on the standard U.S. Apple Records label. The remaining two titles are promotional singles released through Atlantic Records and they are: “Hey Baby” and “Wings.” Both records are in MINT condition; Finally, an eclectic set of original 45 r.p.m. records released in the United States and other various countries by John Lennon, Yoko Ono and Julian Lennon. The collection was assembled and maintained by one collector. Not one record in this holding has ever been played. Each record except where indicated, is accompanied with the original picture sleeve as released. Each sleeve is in NRMT condition with minimal to minor ring wear. Each label is pristine with no markings.

This particular carton once contained the Wings single “Mary Had A Little Lamb” as evidenced by the hand marking “1851” penned in black marker on the top panel. These brown cartons were packaged with 25 records. This particular carton originated from “Apple Records, Inc., 3117 San Fernando Rd., Los Angeles, Calif 90065.” It must be noted that a side panel was marked with “WINGS” responsibly in marker.
