This 1985 sign reads; 4,192 Count On The Enquirer" Back in 1985 when Pete Rose was approaching the all time hits leader Ty Cobb, everybody wanted to cover the story. The Cincinnati Enquirer was the home town newspaper of the Cincinnati Reds whom Pete was playing for so they were promoting this story every chance they could get. The Inquirer would put these signed in newspaper dispensing machines in the city to promote the famous event and everyone wanted to be apart of it. This thick stock paper sign measures 10" x 16" and is red and white in color (sames as the Reds team colors).
