![]() 2007 Fenway Park Red Sox World Series Bunting (2 Pieces) Autographed "To B, My Biggest Booster 07 World Series at Fenway"Opening Day, the All Star Game, and the World Series is when Major League Baseball puts on its finest "Sunday Best" for all to see and enjoy. The stadiums are extra clean, the field is immaculately groomed, and the souvenir stands are full. One of the accoutrements most evident to fans enjoying the baseball festivities, whether in person or on TV, are the red, white, and blue flag-like patriotic banners liberally placed around the stadium. They are a proud statement which reflects a prideful appearance and our nation's love of baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie. This selection of bunting came from Fenway Park in Boston, where it hung during Games One and Two of the 2007 World Series. They are both pre-pleated fans with canvas heading and grommets to facilitate their mounting, though weather caused additional measures to be taken for these to be hung properly. One measures 96" in length and 48" from the top to its lowest portion; it has a handful of 1/2" tears in the top red portion and what appears to be a few very minor red and green paint stains; made by Annin & Co. The smaller one is 72" in length and 36" vertically; this one also has a few heavy staples in it from displaying it at Fenway. Both have remnants of double-sided tape patches used to keep the bunting from becoming dislodged or flapping during a windy New England evening. The look these items portray is a deep American tradition, not only at sporting events, but at parades, political gatherings, and holiday celebrations. They proudly pay tribute to our heritage inside our sporting arena of life, as well as other places. This item was signed by ……. In person at …… . You May Also Like... |
