New York Yankees HOF Babe Ruth Hall of Fame 10K Gold Ring (Salesman Sample)
The Hall of Fame started issuing rings to new members in the 1960s. Presented is a Babe Ruth sample ring that was created in commemoration of his induction. It was made in the likeness of the HOF rings first issued although the year of production is unknown. It is cast in 10k yellow gold and the face has the "BASEBALL * HALL OF FAME" wording around a stone with a central gold baseball. One shank has a "BABE RUTH" banner atop the Cooperstown building. The other shank has "OUTFIELD" above crossed bats and a baseball with "ELECTED 1936." Interior has 10k stamped along with a S hallmark. Ring shows minimal wear. Size 12,5 and it weighs 1.5 ounces.
