2003 Mel Stottlemyre "AL Champions" NY Yankees Game-Worn Road Jersey w/Rare "100 Seasons" Patch

Classic 2003 American League champion New York Yankees road jersey worn by '60s and '70s Yanks all-time ace Mel Stottlemeyer, who would continue to serve the franchise as one of baseball's premier pitching coaches through the 2005 season. Offers traditional Bombers styling and all correct identifiers, specs and tagging for team, year and Stottlemeyer, including proper Russell Authentic manufacturer's tag sewn-in front tail, with "[size] 48" and "+2 Extra Length" flap tags below, and Yankees inventory swatch sewn directly below them. Stottlemeyer's number "34" is sewn on back in correct font and Yankees classic double tackle twill.

Of special note, also features rare "100th Anniversary 1903-2003" patch sewn on left sleeve -- while Yankees uniforms typically commemorate departed teammates in the form of numbers or black bands, team milestones are seldom honored, if ever.

Displays typical, but obvious coaches wear, with solid evidence of washings and frayng to identifiers and patches. Great representation of a signficant player and season in New York Yankees history.
